Dr Michele Tufigno and Dr Emma Portelli Bonnici will be speaking at Skills Malta’s Practical Workshop on the General Data Protection Regulation on the 7th of March at the Palace Hotel in Sliema.

This seminar will offer an introduction to the principles and application of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), with focus on its impact on the daily operations of businesses and other bodies involved in the processing of personal data. The sessions will analyse matters relative to security, human resources challenges and sales and marketing practices, as well as delving into the role of the Data Protection Officer (DPO).

The workshop will be divided into four parts: An Introduction into the General Data Protection Regulation; Security, Integrity and the Data Protection Officer; Data Protection, HR and Employment issues; and Sales and Marketing.
