GTG Advocates today participated in a Seminar organised by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) on the VFA Agents as proposed under the Virtual Financial Assets regulatory framework.

The Seminar addressed the role of the VFA agent with reference to the Rulebook on VFA agents, currently in a consultation process, and regulatory expectations.

The Seminar also involved a number of interventions on MFSA’s Policy on DLT Assets, the 3 Acts, mainly the Virtual Financial Assets Act, the Malta Digital Innovation Authority and the Innovative Technology Arrangements and Services Act and the newly published Financial Instrument Test.

The Seminar is part of the current preparation process for the coming into force of the VFA/ DLT regulatory framework, ensuring that Malta not only offers a robust regulatory framework but equipped professionals.
