Dr Malcolm Vella Bray earned his LL.D from the University of Malta in 2016, submitting a dissertation titled ‘Trade Secrets: The EU Directive for the protection thereof’. He later completed a Diploma in AML and Compliance from Idea Academy in 2023.
After completing his legal studies, he spent several years travelling and developing a broad international outlook before entering the regulatory compliance field in 2020. He was subsequently approved by the Malta Financial Services Authority to serve as a Compliance Officer for various licensed entities, including investment firms, fund managers, and investment funds, while also providing support on compliance and regulatory matters for Company Service Providers and Trustees.
Malcolm is fluent in Maltese, English and Italian and conversant in French and Spanish.
