Dr Ian Gauci, Partner and Head of the Communications, Media and Technology Department at GTG Advocates will be speaking at the 10th edition of the Eastern European Gaming Summit taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria between 20th – 22nd November.

Dr Gauci will be discussing GDPR and online gambling. As the May 2018 deadline for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to come into effect draws nearer, companies, particularly those in the gaming industry, are becoming more aware of the obligations imposed on handling of personal data and the high penalties in case of data breaches. Non-observance of the new rules will mean augmented liability for gaming operators, both as processors and controllers.
