GTG Advocates contributes to Chambers and Partners’ Global Practice Guide: FinTech 2019

GTG’s Dr Ian Gauci, Dr Cherise Abela Grech and Dr Terence Cassar have contributed the Malta Chapter of Chambers and Partners’ FinTech Global Practice Guide.

The FinTech Global Practice Guide provides expert legal commentary about the FinTech industry in Malta and addresses the evolution of the FinTech Market with the coming into force of the DLT legal framework. In addition, the Practice Guide looks at predominant business models, the use of a regulatory sandbox, outsourcing of regulated functions, cybersecurity, the role of Robo-advisers, the status of online lending, payment processors, fund administrators, high-frequency and algorithmic trading, exchanges and trading platforms, the emergency of the cryptocurrency exchange, open banking and the regulation of RegTech Providers.
